The Tarrant County Republican Assembly (TCRA) held an Endorsing Convention on Saturday, January 31, 2026, at the Botanical Research Institute of Texas (BRIT), in Fort Worth, Texas.
TCRA considered 10 Republican Primary races, in which 26 candidates are seeking the Republican Party nomination in the March 3, 2026 Primary. Of the 10 races, the TCRA achieved the 67% (2/3) threshold required for an endorsement in four of the races.
Tarrant County Republican Assembly is proud to announce its endorsement for the following candidates:
Tim O’Hare – Tarrant County Judge
Alan Blaylock – State Representative, House District 93
David Cook – State Senator, District 22
Tony Tinderholt – Tarrant County Commissioner, Precinct 2
These candidates have been informed of the Tarrant County Republican Assembly endorsement, and they may use the endorsement in their campaigns.
We sincerely appreciate all of the candidates who took time from their busy campaign schedules to appear before us. We also appreciate the TCRA members who attended and participated, as well as members of the general public who attended to learn more about the Republican candidates on the Primary ballot.
Special thanks and appreciation to all of our Tarrant County Republican Assembly Board, and others who assisted in helping to make this a successful event.
Blessings,
Anne Gebhart, President

The Coveted TCRA Endorsement Process
The Tarrant County Republican Assembly (TCRA)—a chapter of the Texas Republican Assembly (TXRA) affiliated with the National Federation of Republican Assemblies—hosts a biennial Endorsing Convention to vet local candidates in contested Republican Primary races. Candidates are invited to present directly to our members.
To earn our endorsement, a candidate must achieve strict two-thirds (67%) support from participating members, with a verified 50% voting quorum present. Because of this exceptionally high bar, candidates who earn it gain the bragging rights to represent to voters that they have been endorsed by the “Republican Wing of the Republican Party.”
Our Strict Voting Integrity: To protect the integrity of the process, our counting committee rigorously verifies quorum before any ballots are cast. Votes are tallied in strict confidentiality. To maintain absolute privacy and trust, no raw counts or percentages are ever reported beyond a simple “Yes/No” on whether the threshold was met, and all physical ballots are destroyed immediately following the verification.
